Home Sweet Home

Well we are all back home safe and sound. The kids had a blast visiting with family and friends back in PA. We got to attend some Sprint Car racing and watch fireworks and have cookouts. As fun as it was, I'm so glad to be home. The kids however, they think they are still on vacation and don't have any rules to follow. That we need to still work on.

Today, my little guy handed me molding foam and sang "Happy Birthday". Remember he is only 2. The words were not all there but he had the tune right. It was so cute. Of course everything stops just to enjoy that moment we shared.

My daughter, Norah, has this idea in her head that she has already had her birthday and she is 5. Well, her birthday isn't until August. She tells everyone that she is in kindergarten. I kinda let it roll and just correct her when she tells people but what will she think when her birthday does come???

Road Trip

Yeah!!! I am so excited. Tomorrow we are leaving NC to go back to PA for the week but the best part is, no not the 7 hour drive, is I'm gonna see my babies!!! They have been having a ball with their Grandmas and old friends. They got to have a sleep over at their old baby sitter Mrs.Debbie which we adore and she adores my kids. I am so lucky to have as many people in my life that love my kids so much. I hated to go a week without them but I had to put my feelings aside and let them go. They are having so much fun. I can't wait to get those hugs and kisses though. Everyone have a great Fourth of July.

Happy Father's Day to All

Hope everyone has enjoyed/is enjoying their Father's Day. Either with your Dad or in memory of your Dad. Ours here at home was cut short today. My Husband and I drove to Virginia to meet his mother so the kids could spend the week in Pennsylvania. We'll be headed there on Saturday. So a week without the kids. What does a mother do??? Well, on my agenda is clean, paint my son's room, have dinner with my friend Holly, see the Dr. (yeah) and visit my old friend from high school Kim in Charlotte. We were college room mates at King's College in Charlotte. I haven't seen her since then (1994) and am very excited to see how she is. So wish me luck that I can actually enjoy MY time cause I already miss my babies and it's only been 4hrs.

Movie Night with Hubby

I rushed the kids to bed last night so I could watch this movie I got from the library. I have to tell you all about the movie Seven Pounds I watched last night with my Hubby, Stan. It was GREAT!!!! I thought about that movie hours after I watched it. I went to bed thinking about that movie. I would recommend it to anyone. TIP: have a box of tissues near by.

Rainy Days

Well today started out pretty good. We had plans to go to the pool with a few friends but of course, it was raining. And of course I didn't have a back up plan. We made mac and cheese and cookies to take to Daddy's work for a guys last day and that was about the highlight of our day. That's if you don't inculde trying to keep the kids from killing each other while I'm on the phone. TIP: always have a back up plan!!

Kidz at it again!

Today I had an appointment with the doctor that no lady enjoys going to let along with 2 kids (ages 2 and almost 5). I gave the kids the "be good speech" on the 25min drive and things seemed fine. They played nicely in the waiting room and even in the exam room. TIP: use the exam table paper for drawing pads, paper planes, or even a hat. I gave each kid a pen and they went to work on their "progects". Things seemed way to easy and then.........the dr came in and the gloves were off. Those kids started fighting over who got which pen, one writing on the others paper and then it became a pushing match. All while the doctor just sat there looking at me as if this is normal/common behavior. Oh, it was a consult so I did'nt have to sport a fancy paper gown. I was so embarrassed. To keep the kids quite I just let them have full rein over my purse. Stuff was every were and even private stuff all in plain view for the doctor. Now you would think that as soon as he left I would had had it in for those 2, but no, I took them to the park. Way to go Mom.
